The Day After Halloween

Halloween 1997 or 1998. Me and a couple of buddies decided to stay in, drink, give out candy, and watch a few horror films at my folk's place. Halloween. There were a few kids I refused to give candy to. They seemed too old, not really dressed up, fuck them. Well, they thought it'd be a good idea to dump their chips (one of the worst things you can get as a treat is a tiny bag filled with four chips and inevitably the next house drops a can of soda in your bag, right on top of the four chips and then you're stuck carrying a heavy bag filled with chip crumbs) all over the the front walk and porch. Bad idea. Don't ask me how we knew it was them, but it was. Henry and Justin ran up the street. One of them hid in some bushes somewhere and waited for the fuck-faces in question while the other kept an eye out in search of the delinquents in question. Don't ask me how, I wasn't there, but the perpetrators were ambushed and marched back to the house. I handed out brooms and they were made to sweep the entire porch and front walk. Chips, leaves, debris...

Never bothered again, as far as Halloween goes.
